The Oxfordshire Befriending Network was a winner of

The GlaxoSmithKline Impact Award in February 2004. 

 This was a recognition of the excellent work of The OBN and committment to improving the quality of human life and making a real difference to the health of the community.  The judges were impressed by the service provided by The OBN.  In particular they liked the way the service benefits both befriender and partner and helps people deal with the taboo surrounding death.

In 2009 we were given the Partnership and Befriending Recognition.
